Security passphrase FAQ

Q: What is a security passphrase?
A: The passphrase is one-step verification method for you to use if you need to contact our support or billing teams. This will replace the previous verification methods of providing the last four digits of your credit card or providing your control panel login credentials.

Q: When / How do I use a passphrase?
A: Your passphrase will be required when you contact our support or billing teams. This will verify your identity so we can assist you.

Q: Why do I have to set a passphrase?
A: The passphrase is unique to your account, so will allow us to easily verify your identity over the phone, chat or when you submit tickets through the customer control panel. This will also prevent unauthorized access or changes to your account.

How to set up my security passphrase?

To set up or update your security passphrase, you need to contact our 24/7 Technical Support by one of the methods listed below:

1. Contact our Support via phone at 1-877-215-4678 and select option 5 to speak to one of our representatives.

2. Contact our Support via chat by logging into your Control Panel at my.hostmysite.com select the Help & Support tab from the top menu and click on Support Chat button.
